Our brain creates an internal narrative as a representation of our journey through life. Light and storytelling are tools we use to understand the world we inhabit.

Its name, from the Latin, translates to feel and to perceive. It is a lamp that creates an artistic representation of the data from the smartwatch, as they are breadcrumbs in the path of our journey. Then, an AI will analyze the heart frequency, distance from home and the quality of the sleep and assign each data a visual code in terms of movement, light temperature and intensity, respectively.  ​

Sentio changes the world in which light is refracted based on the journey we take in our day. All these changes will modify how the light is refracted and reflected according to our day's journey, leading to a visible and tactile experience.

The main structure of the lamp is made with a piece of recycled PET that holds twelve LED stripes that respond independently to the distances from home (meters/hour) and the quality of sleep (awakenings and number of REM cycles/night), changing the temperature and intensity of the light with a quantitive correspondence. It will be covered by a polyester fabric that will play the role of diffusor. This fabric will also be the anchor point of 48 columns of 12 flaps each made from UniMorph® that will bend through the action of electric current according to the heartbeat.
